Naturalized Brazilian Rebecca Akl (170-G -1992) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 33-year old player had a double-double of 30 points and 12 rebounds, while her team outclassed NSA (#6, 5-9) with 37-point margin 85-48. Al Riyadi was forced-out from the top positions in Lebanese WLBL. Al Riyadi has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 12-1. In the team's last game Akl had a remarkable 83.3% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Al Riyadi, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Rebecca Akl has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 21.1ppg), assists (2nd best: 6.9apg) and averages impressive 64.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young international Reem El Ghali (181-F -2007) of league's leader Homentmen Antelias. El Ghali had a very good evening with a double-double of 34 points and 12 rebounds. Of course she led Homentmen to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Antranik (#5, 6-7) 98-67. This victory allowed Homentmen to move up to 1st position in the standings. Her team belongs to top of the standings with 13-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. El Ghali is one of the most experienced players at Homentmen and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was center Sandra Beddawi (168-C-1992, agency: BIG) of Sporting Bkennaya (#7). Beddawi got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. She went also for seven rebounds and five assists. Despite Beddawi's great performance the Bkennaya lost 72-75 to slightly higher-ranked NSA (#6, 5-9). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Bkennaya not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 8 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Beddawi could try to bring Bkennaya's a little bit higher in the standings. Beddawi has a very solid season. In 12 games in Lebanon she scored 12.7ppg.
