Grissett's 33-point game gives her Player of the Week award

American Forward LeLe Grissett (188-F) put on an amazing game in the last round for Azour and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
She had the game-high 33 points adding seven rebounds and three assists for Azour in her team's victory, helping them to crush Beirut FC (#5, 6-5) with 25-point margin 68-43. Azour maintains the 3rd position in Lebanese WLBL. They are still close to the very top. Azour would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 9-2 record. Grissett turned to be Azour's top player in her first season with the team. University of South Carolina graduate has very impressive stats this year. Grissett is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.0ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 12.3rpg), assists (6th best: 5.1apg) and averages solid 62.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Rebecca Akl (170-G -1992) of top-ranked Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut. She is naturalized Brazilian in her first season at Al Riyadi. In the last game Akl recorded an impressive 36 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course she led Al Riyadi to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Almtayleb (#9, 1-11) 114-74. This victory allowed Al Riyadi to move up to 1st position in the standings. Her team belongs to top of the standings with 11-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Akl is one of the most experienced players at Al Riyadi and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.7ppg (#5). Her other stats are also decent: 8.5rpg and 6.8apg.

Third place about best performers goes to Aliyah Matharu (170-G -2001) of Almtayleb (#9). Matharu got into 30-points club by scoring 42 points in the last round. She went also for nine rebounds and four assists. Despite Matharu's great performance the Almtayleb lost 74-114 to the higher-ranked Al Riyadi (#1, 11-1). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. Almtayleb can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-11 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Matharu has individually a great season in Lebanon. After 11 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 31.4ppg (best scorer).
