Best players of Lebanese WLBL round 7

Experienced American-Angolan Italee Lucas (172-G-1989) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 36-year old guard had the game-high 25 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for Al Riyadi in her team's victory, helping them to edge out Beirut FC (#5, 3-3) 74-72. Al Riyadi maintains the 2nd position in Lebanese WLBL. They are still close to the very top. Al Riyadi would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 7-1 record. In the team's last game Lucas had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. She just recently signed at Al Riyadi, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of North Carolina graduate has very impressive stats this year. Lucas is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.8ppg), assists (5th best: 5.3apg) and averages solid 54.9% FGP and 47.1% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Senegalese Aminata Ly (193-SF -2000) of Sporting Bkennaya. Ly impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 21 points and 21 rebounds. Bad luck as Bkennaya lost that game 66-75 to the higher-ranked Azour (#3, 6-2). This loss caused Bkennaya to drop to 7th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-4 record. Ly is one of the most experienced players at Bkennaya and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Aliyah Matharu (170-G -2001) of Almtayleb (#9). Matharu got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. She went also for six rebounds . Despite Matharu's great performance the Almtayleb lost 67-68 to slightly higher-ranked Damour (#8, 2-6). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. Almtayleb can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-6 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Matharu has individually a great season in Lebanon. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.3ppg (best scorer). She also has 3.2spg and a FGP of 53.1%.

8. Ify Okoro (G ) of Bkennaya - 20 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Zeina Elias (SF ) of Azour - 15 points and 12 rebounds
10. Nour Chahine (F ) of Almtayleb - 7 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
