Antranik held Damour to an opponent 23.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 27.3 percent accuracy of the winners and made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Antranik outrebounded Damour 55-35 including a 43-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Damour helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Kennedi Williams (170, college: Oregon) had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and center Jillian Hollingshead (196-2003, college: Tennessee) chipped in 12 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. The best for the losing side was Sonia Smith (170, college: GMU) with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Antranik maintains fifth position with 3-2 record. Newly promoted Damour still closes the standings with six games lost. Antranik are looking forward to face NSA (#7) in the next round. The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. Top-ranked Homentmen (6-0) played at the court of 8th ranked Almtayleb (1-5). Homentmen smashed Almtayleb 99-60. International guard Perla Nasr (177-1999) notched 28 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and LaDazhia Williams supported her with 27 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Homentmen A.'s coach felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 27 points and 7 rebounds by American Aliyah Matharu (170-2001, college: Baylor) did not help to save the game for Almtayleb. Undefeated Homentmen have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Riyadi. Almtayleb at the other side keeps the eighth place with five games lost. Homentmen will play against Lebanese U18 (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Almtayleb will play against Damour and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
