NSA welcomes back Malashenko

Olesia Malashenko

NSA (WLBL) signed 34-year-old Ukrainian ex-international power forward Olesia Malashenko. She is making a comeback to NSA, where she has played before. Malashenko recently played for Valletta in the Maltese Women's League, averaging 21.4ppg, 20.2rpg, 3.6apg, and 1.2spg in 5 games last season. Last summer, she played for NSA.
She was also a member of the Ukrainian international program for some years. Malashenko played for Ukrainian Senior National Team between 2009 and 2021 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2011.
She is a very experienced player. Malashenko has played also in Belgium (Namur and Royal Braine), France (Villeneuve, Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration and Arras), Germany (Stars), Israel (Maccabi Karmiel and Elitzur Ramla), Italy (Ragusa), Jordan (Orthodox), Russia (Chevakata), Turkey (Edirne and Adana), Ukraine (Byelaia Akacia, Interkhim and Budivelnyk), United Arab Emirates (Al Sharjah) and Mongolia (Garid).
She played in the final of the German League in 2024 and was voted the Eurobasket.com All-Maltese League Bosman Player of the Year in 2025.
