Al Riyadi sign Italee Lucas

Italee Lucas

Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut (WLBL) signed 37-year-old American guard Italee Lucas, who also holds an Angolan passport and stands at 172cm. Lucas, a UNC alum, joins fellow American player Sarah Boothe on the team. She most recently played for APR BBC Kigali in the Rwandan D1 league.
In 2011, she was drafted by the Tulsa Shock (WNBA) in the second round (21st overall).
She graduated from the University of North Carolina and it will be her 15th season in pro basketball. She has been regularly called to the Angolan Senior National Team since 2017.
Lucas is a very experienced player. She has traveled quite extensively during her pro career, playing in ten different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America). Lucas has played professionally in Hungary (Miskolc), Iraq (Akkad and Ghaz Al-Shamal), Israel (Hertzliya), Kuwait (Qurain), Qatar (Al Gharafa), Romania (Satu Mare), Spain (Hondarribia-Irun, IDK Euskotren, and Girona), Angola (Inter-Clube), Egypt (Al Ahly and Heliopolis), and Lebanon (Azour).
Her team made it to the FIBA Women's Basketball League Africa Semifinals in 2025. It may be one of the last seasons in her extensive career, which she may end at Al Riyadi.
