Al Ahly Tripoli lands Troy Baxter Jr., ex NSA

Al Ahly Tripoli (D1) tabbed 29-year old American 206cm power forward Troy Baxter Jr. (college: Morgan State). Baxter just played at Nadim Souaid Academy in Lebanese LBL league. He managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year. In 7 LBL games just recently he had 14.7ppg, 2.7rpg, 1.7apg, 1.3spg and 1.3bpg. The last season he played at Amman United in Jordanian league where in four LBL games he recorded 9.8ppg and 2.3rpg.
Baxter is quite experienced player. He has played in twelve different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia and of course North America). Baxter has played previously professionally in Canada (Surge), Dominican Republic (Indios), Mexico (Indomables), New Zealand (Jets and Rams), Paraguay (San Jose), Uruguay (Trouville), Bulgaria (CSKA Sofia), Jordan (Orthodox), NBA G League (OKC Blue, Indiana Mad Ants, Grand Rapids Gold, Westchester Knicks and Windy City Bulls), The Basketball Tournament (GCG) and Mongolia (Khatsaga).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won New Zealand NBL championship title in 2023. He was voted to MEAC All-Defensive Team back in 2021.
Baxter graduated from Morgan State in 2021 and it is his fourth season as a professional player. He played for other colleges like: Florida Gulf Coast University, University of Nevada - Las Vegas.
