English's 41-point game gives him Player of the Week award

32-year old American guard A.J. English (192-G-1992) put on an amazing game in the last round for Hoops Club and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had the game-high 41 points adding three rebounds and six assists for Hoops in his team's victory, helping them to beat Beirut Club (#1, 11-1) 94-88. Hoops maintains the 6th position in Lebanese league. Hoops is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-6 record. In the team's last game English had a remarkable 76.9% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Hoops, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Iona College graduate has very impressive stats this year. English is in league's top in points (8th best: 24.0ppg), assists (3rd best: 7.0apg) and averages solid 42.0% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Sergio El Darwich (194-G-1996) of top-ranked Beirut Club. He is international guard in his second season at Beirut Club. In the last game El Darwich recorded an impressive 31 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Beirut Club cruised to a 93-83 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked NSA (#12, 1-11). Of course Beirut Club still keep the league's top spot. His team belongs to top of the standings with 11-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. El Darwich is well-known at Beirut Club and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Daniel Hamilton (201-SG-1995) of Nadim Souaid Academy (#12). Hamilton showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, 13 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of NSA, leading his team to a 85-78 win against slightly higher-ranked Maristes (#10, 4-8). NSA can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-11 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. The season just started for Hamilton as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
