Club Beirut tabs Imani McGee-Stafford, ex Xiamen

Imani McGee-Stafford

Sporting Club Beirut (WLBL) inked 30-year old American 201cm center Imani McGee-Stafford (college: Texas). She played recently at Xiamen Egrets in Chinese WCBA. In 32 games she averaged impressive 18.8ppg, 16.1rpg, 1.9apg and 1.1spg last season. She was also voted League Player of the Week. McGee-Stafford also played for Al Ula in Saudi Arabian league.
In 2016 she was drafted by Chicago Sky (WNBA) in first round (10th overall).
The former University of Texas standout is in her ninth season in pro basketball.
She represented USA at the World Championship U17 in France fifteen years ago. Her team won Gold and she had almost 4 points per game.
McGee-Stafford is a very experienced player. She has quite traveled the world as her pro career brought her to eight different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia and of course North America). McGee-Stafford has played previously professionally in Australia (Perth Lynx), Israel (Hertzliya), Mexico (Astros), Saudi Arabia, Turkey (Adana), WNBA (Dallas Wings and Atlanta Dream) and WUBA (GIE Matrix).
Among many awards she played in the final of Arab Club Championship in 2024. She received All-Big 12 Co-Defensive Player of the Year award back in 2016.
