Best players of Lebanese WLBL round 9 (by Hoops Agents)

American Kai James (196-C-1995) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Azour and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 29-year old center had a double-double of 30 points and 22 rebounds, while her team beat Almtayleb (#8, 3-8) 79-74. Azour maintains the 2nd position in Lebanese WLBL. Azour has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 10-1. James just recently signed at Azour and just after two games she already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Kai James averages just after two games 18.0ppg and 14.5rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Senegalese center Madjiguene Sene (197-C-1994) of Sporting Bkennaya. Sene impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 20 rebounds. Of course she led Sporting B. to another comfortable win 81-63 over the lower-ranked Hoops (#10, 1-10) being unquestionably team leader. Sporting B.'s 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 6-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Sene is one of the most experienced players at Sporting B. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.4ppg (#3). She also registered 15.2 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Daja Woodard (190-F) of Almtayleb (#8). Woodard scored 27 points and grabbed 20 rebounds (!!!). Despite Woodard's great performance the Almtayleb lost 74-79 to the higher-ranked Azour (#2, 10-1). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. Almtayleb can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-8 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Woodard has individually a great season in Lebanon. After only 9 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.6ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 13.4rpg (3rd best). She also has 2.7spg and 1.6bpg.

7. Da'Nasia Hood (185-F-2000) of Al Riyadi - 26 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Tina Stephens (188-PF-1999) of Champs - 21 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Akilah Bethel (183-F-1993) of Club Beirut - 20 points, 15 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Jillian Archer (188-F-2000) of Homentmen A. - 20 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
