Lebanese WLBL round 8 best performance: Jillian Archer (by Hoops Agents)

American Forward Jillian Archer (188-F-2000) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Homentmen Antelias, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 10 rebounds, while her team crushed Hoops (#10, 1-9) with 23-point margin 91-68. Homentmen maintains the 3rd position in Lebanese WLBL. They are still close to the very top. Homentmen would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-2 record. Archer just recently signed at Homentmen and just after two games she already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Jillian Archer averages just after two games 24.5ppg and 6.5rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Tynice Martin (180-G-1997) of Sporting Bkennaya. Martin had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 12 rebounds. Of course she led Sporting B. to another comfortable win 85-72 over slightly lower-ranked NSA (#7, 3-7) being unquestionably team leader. Sporting B.'s 6th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 5-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Martin is one of the most experienced players at Sporting B. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.2ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 8.6rpg and 4.4apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Ukrainian forward Olesia Malashenko (191-PF-1991) of NSA (#7). Malashenko showcased her all-around game by recording 25 points, 17 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. Despite Malashenko's great performance the NSA lost 72-85 to slightly higher-ranked Sporting B. (#6, 5-5). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of NSA not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Malashenko could try to bring NSA's a little bit higher in the standings. Malashenko has individually a great season in Lebanon. After only 7 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 15.1rpg (#1 in league).
