Hood's 20 points and 9 rebounds give her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

24-year old American forward Da'Nasia Hood (185-F-2000, agency: LBM Management) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
She had the game-high 20 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for Al Riyadi in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Champs (#5, 3-3) with 47-point margin 98-51. Al Riyadi is placed at 2nd position in Lebanese WLBL. They are still close to the very top. Al Riyadi would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 5-1 record. In the team's last game Hood had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Al Riyadi, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Texas State University at San Marcos graduate has very impressive stats this year. Hood is in league's top in points (9th best: 17.3ppg) and averages solid 2.3spg and 61.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Shaqwedia Wallace (175-G-1989, agency: LBM Management) of Sporting Club Beirut. She is American guard in her first season at Club Beirut. In the last game Wallace recorded an impressive 20 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course she led Club Beirut to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Hoops (#9, 1-5) 83-53. This victory allowed Club Beirut to move up to 4th position in the standings. Her team's 4-2 record is not bad at all. Wallace is one of the most experienced players at Club Beirut and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.3ppg (#7). Her other stats are also decent: 5.3rpg and 3.8apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Olesia Malashenko (191-PF-1991) of NSA (#8). Malashenko showcased her all-around game by recording 12 points, 24 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. Despite Malashenko's great performance the NSA lost 50-56 to the league's current leader Azour (#1, 6-0). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. NSA can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Malashenko has individually a great season in Lebanon. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 15.7rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 5.0apg (2nd best).
