WLBL top team - Azour (6-0) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked NSA (1-5) 56-50. Azour forced 23 NSA turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Angolan guard Italee Lucas (172-1989, college: UNC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. The former international point guard Amar Mansour (178-2004) contributed with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Ukrainian Olesia Malashenko (191-1991) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 24 rebounds and 6 assists for NSA. Azour have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Azour maintains first position with 6-0 record. NSA lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with Hoops.
Bottom-ranked Antranik is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to third ranked Homentmen (5-1) 79-41. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jacaira Allen (180-1998, college: ODU) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Patil Assadourian who added 15 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Magalie Chahoud responded with 7 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Homentmen moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Riyadi. Antranik at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost.

Even 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists by Tina Stephens did not help to save the game for Champs. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Al Riyadi have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Homentmen. Loser Champs keep the fifth position with three games lost.
