Best players of Lebanese WLBL round 3

American Tina Stephens (188-PF-1999) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Champs Club and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 25-year old power forward had a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds, while her team edged out NSA (#7, 1-2) 63-61. Champs maintains the 4th position in Lebanese WLBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Champs will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. Stephens just recently signed at Champs, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Troy University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Stephens leads league in rebounds with 15.0rpg. Stephens is in league's top in assists (9th best: 4.3apg) and averages solid 3.5spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Akilah Bethel (183-F-1993) of Sporting Club Beirut. Bethel impressed basketball fans with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course she led Club Beirut to another comfortable win outscoring Sporting B. (1-2) 70-42. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Bethel is one of the most experienced players at Club Beirut and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.3ppg (#5). She also registered 9.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Jessica Martino (178-F-2000) of NSA (#7). Martino scored 27 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Martino's great performance the NSA lost 61-63 to Champs (#4, 3-1). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of NSA not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Martino could try to bring NSA's a little bit higher in the standings. Martino has individually a great season in Lebanon. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.7ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 10.7rpg (6th best).
