NSA signs Olesia Malashenko

Olesia Malashenko

NSA (WLBL) signed experienced 34-year old Ukrainian ex-international power forward Olesia Malashenko (191cm-1991) for upcoming 2025 season. Malashenko just played at Valletta Lioneses in Maltese league. In 7 games she had very impressive stats: 24.9ppg, 20.1rpg, 3.0apg, 1.3spg and 1.7bpg last season. She also played for A.S. Ramat Hasharon in Israeli D1 where in 9 games she recorded 8.9ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.6apg.
Malashenko was also a member of Ukrainian international program for some years. She played for Ukrainian Senior National Team between 2009 and 2021 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2011.
Malashenko also represented Ukraine at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) in Serbia and Latvia six years ago. Her stats at that event were 3 games: 9.0ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.7apg, 1.0spg, FGP: 55.0%, 3PT: 11.1%.
She is quite experienced player. Malashenko has played also professionally in Belgium (Namur and Castors Braine), France (Villeneuve, Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration and Arras), Germany (Keltern), Italy (Ragusa), Jordan (Orthodox), Russia (Chevakata), Turkey (Mersin BSB, Edirne, Mersin MBK and Adana), Israel (Elitzur Ramla), Ukraine (Byelaia Akacia, Interkhim and Budivelnyk), United Arab Emirates (Al Sharjah) and Mongolia (Garid). She won Belgian League championship title in 2009, 2018 and 2019 and the cup in 2009 and 2019.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Belgian League Honorable Mention back in 2020.
