Davion Wingate (ex NS Matrix) agreed terms with Hoops

Hoops Club (WLBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old American 168cm guard Davion Wingate (college: FGCU). She played recently at NS Matrix in Malaysian MWBL. In 5 games she recorded very impressive stats: 16.8ppg, 5.0rpg, 2.4apg and 1.2spg last season. The last season summer she played at Surabaya Fever (D1) in Indonesian league.
She is a very experienced player. Thanks to Wingate's pro career she managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America) in nine different countries. Wingate has played previously professionally in Greece (Panathlitikos), Indonesia, Kosovo (Penza), Morocco (Majd Tanger Basketball), Serbia (Kraljevo), Sweden (Visby), Switzerland and Turkey (Yalova Vip). Her team made it to the Malaysian MWBL Semifinals in 2025.
Among many awards she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Greek League Honorable Mention in 2023.
She graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2020 and it is her fifth season in pro basketball. Wingate played also for Stony Brook University for 2 years.
