Akilah Bethel (ex San German) added to the roster of Club Beirut

Sporting Club Beirut (WLBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 31-year old American 183cm forward Akilah Bethel (college: LSU) for season 2025. She joins another USA player Shaqwedia Wallace who is already in the roster.
She played last summer at Athleticas de San German in Puerto Rican BSNF. In 12 games she recorded very impressive stats: 16.7ppg, 9.9rpg, 4.4apg and 2.8spg. She also played for Santas del Potosi (LNBPF) in Mexican league.
She is a very experienced player. Thanks to her pro career she managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Australia and of course North America) in eight different countries. Bethel has played previously professionally in Australia (Power and Capitals), Luxembourg (Musel Pikes and Sparta), Mexico (Mieleras, Panteras and Rojas), Puerto Rico (Gigantes, Atenienses, Cangrejeras and Cidra), Spain (Unicaja), Turkey (Urla), Ukraine (Dynamo-NPU Kyiv) and Czech Republic (Trutnov). She was also voted to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LF Challenge Honorable Mention in 2024.
Bethel won Mexican LMBPF championship title in 2022.
She graduated from Louisiana State University in 2016 and it will be her tenth season in pro basketball. Bethel played also for West Virginia University for 2 years.
