Sagesse inks Shabazz Muhammad, ex Hotshots

Shabazz Muhammad

Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut (LBL) signed 32-year old American small forward Shabazz Muhammad (198cm-101kg-1992, college: UCLA). He moved there from Hotshots in Filipino PBA league, but it seems he will not stay with that team after all. The last summer he played at Homentmen Beirut where in 11 PBA games he had very impressive stats: 19.0ppg and 6.1rpg.
In 2013 he was drafted by Utah Jazz (NBA) in first round (14th overall). The former University of California at Los Angeles standout is in his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. Muhammad has played in seven different countries on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in China (Guandong Tigers, Loongs, Leopards and Shaanxi), Venezuela (Trotamundos), NBA (Minnesota Timberwolves), Lebanon (Beirut Club), NBA G League (Stockton Kings and Grand Rapids Gold) and PBL (Just Hoops). Muhammad's team made it to the NBA G League Semifinals in 2024.
Muhammad was voted to Chinese CBA All-Star Game back in 2019.
