Panserraikos inks Rebecca Akl

Rebecca Akl

MGS Panserraikos Serres (A1) agreed terms with 31-year old Lebanese-Brazilian international point guard Rebecca Akl (170cm-1992).

She moved there from Kocidar in Algeria D1 league where she played in the arab clubs tournament in Amman Jordan led the team to 3rd place and won MVP award.

Last season a she played at Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut in Lebanese WLBL. In 22 games she was league's fifth best scorer with impressive 15.5ppg and averaged 8.0rpg, 7.0apg (leader !!!) and 2.7spg (in top 5). She helped them to win the Lebanese League title (seven times) despite they ended the regular season at the second place. 2023-24 was a great season as she was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Player of the Year, Guard of the Year and League Player of the Week (3 times).
Akl also represented Lebanon at the FIBA Asia Cup for Women in Sydney (Australia) last year. Her team won Bronze and she had 13 points per game.
She is quite experienced player. Akl has played also in Algeria, Lebanon (Homentmen Antelias, Champville and Club Beirut), Spain (Leganes), Czech Republic (Brno) and Greece (Esperides, Chania and PAOK Thessaloniki).
