Great Britain survived a late comeback from Lebanon and posted their first win at the 2026 World Cup Pre-Qualifiers. Great Britain won 77-72 for a 1-1 record at the Kigali Arena.
Lebanon started with a 16-13 run, whilst the European side replied with a 19-11 rally in the second period. Moreover, Great Britain added an 18-11 run in the third quarter when Savannah Wilkinson (183-F-1998, college: SMU) closed the quarter for a 50-38 advantage. Lebanon on the other side nailed 34 points in the last period, however fell short at the end.
Savannah Wilkinson led the way with 16 points, Samantha Ashby (175-G/F-2001, college: Pacific) poured in 15 and Holly Winterburn (178-G-2000, college: Oregon) scored 14. Trinity Baptiste (183-F-1998, college: Arizona) replied with 24 points in the losing effort.
