Al Ula lands Miramar Mokdad, ex Club Beirut

Miramar Mokdad

Al Ula (D1) signed 36-year-old Lebanese international guard Miramar Mokdad for the upcoming season. Mokdad, who stands at 170cm, played for Club Beirut in the Lebanese WLBL for the past three years. In 21 games last season, she averaged 6.9ppg, 5.9rpg, 4.0apg (top 3), and 2.1spg. She was instrumental in helping her team win the regular season and reach the final.
Mokdad also represented Lebanon at the FIBA Asia Cup for Women in Sydney (Australia) last year. Mokdad's team won Bronze and she had an average of almost 1 ppg.
She is a very experienced player, thanks to pro basketball she experienced life in four different countries playing on three different continents. Mokdad is familiar with European, Asian, and African leagues. She has played previously in Greece (Giannena), Lebanon (Homentmen Antelias, Al Riyadi, and Chabibeh), Greece, and Egypt (Al Zohour SC).
Mokdad won the Lebanese League championship title in 2023. She is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of the last seasons in her extensive career, which she may end at Al Ula.
