Al Riyadi clinch WLBL title

Al Riyadi - Club Beirut 78-49

Al Riyadi clinched WLBL title. They overcame Club Riyadi in the fourth game of the Finals to conquer the trophy. Al Riyadi outrebounded Club Beirut 51-30 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Angela Tompkins (188-1991, college: Wichita St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 18 rebounds. The former international point guard Rebecca Akl (170-1992) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international forward Aida Bakhos (178-1986, college: Lamar) replied with 15 points and American guard Meighan Simmons (175-1992, college: Tennessee) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Club Beirut. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
