El Charif's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

Chirine El Charif

39-year old center Chirine El Charif (184-C-1984) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
She had a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds, while her team outclassed Almtayleb (#7, 4-11) with 65-point margin 103-38. Al Riyadi maintains the 2nd position in Lebanese WLBL. Al Riyadi has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 14-1. It was one of impressive evenings for El Charif as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Chirine El Charif averages this season 9.7ppg and 8.1rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Rebecca Akl (170-PG-1992). She is naturalized Brazilian guard in her first season at Al Riyadi. Third place about best performers goes to another Al Riyadi's star - Reem El Ghali. Ghali scored 26 points. She was another key player of Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut, helping her team with a 103-38 easy win against the lower-ranked Almtayleb (#7, 4-11). Many experts and fans count Al Riyadi as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right.
