Best players of Lebanese WLBL round 13

Experienced International Center Tamara Khalil (185-C-1986) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 37-year old center had a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds, while her team outclassed Homentmen A. (#3, 11-3) with 31-point margin 79-48. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Al Riyadi maintains the 2nd position in Lebanese WLBL. Al Riyadi has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 13-1. It was one of impressive evenings for Khalil as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Khalil has impressive league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 9.4ppg. Khalil is in league's top in assists (7th best: 3.9apg) and averages solid 2.5spg and 52.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Al Riyadi's star - young Brazilian point guard Rebecca Akl (170-PG-1992). Akl impressed basketball fans with 19 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course together with Khalil she helped Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut with another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Homentmen A. (#3, 11-3) 79-48. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Al Riyadi consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. Her team belongs to top of the standings with 13-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Akl is a newcomer at Al Riyadi and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.7ppg (#5). Her other stats are also decent: 6.6rpg and 6.9apg.

The third best performed player last round was Sabine Fakherddine of Chiyah (#8). Fakherddine scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). Despite Fakherddine's great performance the Chiyah lost 47-56 to slightly higher-ranked Hoops (#6, 7-8). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Fakherddine has individually a great season in Lebanon. After 14 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.4rpg (6th best).
