Tamara Khalil's triple-double lands her Player of the Week award

International Center Tamara Khalil (185-C-1986) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 37-year old player recorded a triple-double of 15 points adding also 14 rebounds and 10 assists, while her team outclassed NSA (#9, 2-12) with 54-point margin 86-32. Al Riyadi maintains the 2nd position in Lebanese WLBL. Al Riyadi has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 12-1. It was one of impressive evenings for Khalil as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Tamara Khalil has solid league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 8.5ppg. Khalil is in league's top in assists (6th best: 3.9apg) and averages impressive 2.7spg.

The second best player in last round's games was another Al Riyadi's star - Meghrie Torossian (G). Torossian had a very good evening with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course together with Khalil she helped Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked NSA (#9, 2-12) 86-32. Al Riyadi's second position in the standings has not changed. Her team belongs to top of the standings with 12-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Torossian is a newcomer at Al Riyadi, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.0ppg (#8). She also registered 4.7 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Patil Assadourian (174-SG-2004) of Homentmen Antelias (#3). Assadourian scored 25 points. She was a key player of Homentmen, leading her team to a 69-41 easy win against #4 ranked Champs in a game of the week. Homentmen is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 11-2 record is not that bad... Assadourian has a great season in Lebanon. After 13 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.4ppg (2nd best). She also has 3.5spg and a FGP of 54.9%.
