Rebecca Akl's triple-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

31-year old BRA-LEBn point guard Rebecca Akl (170-PG-1992) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
She recorded a triple-double of 19 points adding also 16 rebounds and 12 assists, while her team outclassed Hoops (#6, 5-8) with 53-point margin 90-37. Al Riyadi maintains the 2nd position in Lebanese WLBL. Al Riyadi has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 11-1. Akl turned to be Al Riyadi's top player in her first season with the team. Akl has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 17.0ppg) and averages solid 2.7spg and 58.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Patil Assadourian (174-SG-2004) of Homentmen Antelias. She is a guard in her first season at Homentmen A.. In the last game Assadourian recorded an impressive double-double of 31 points and 10 rebounds. Of course she led Homentmen to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Almtayleb (#7, 4-8) 91-53. Homentmen's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost just two games this season, while they won 10 matches. Assadourian is a newcomer at Homentmen and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#2). She also registered 4.6 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Aida Bakhos (178-F-1986) of league's leader Sporting Club Beirut. Bakhos showcased her all-around game by recording 13 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 10 assists (!!!) in the last round. She was a key player of Club Beirut, leading her team to a 82-37 easy win against the lower-ranked Chiyah (#8, 3-10). Club Beirut have amazing season winning all 13 games without a single defeat. Bakhos turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Bakhos has a great season in Lebanon. After 13 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.6rpg (8th best) and assists with 4.3apg (5th best).
