Lebanese WLBL round 9 best performance: Perla Nasr

Power forward Perla Nasr (PF) had a great game in the last round for Homentmen Antelias, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The player was the main contributor (17 points, eight rebounds and three assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass NSA (#9, 1-10) with 56-point margin 86-30. Homentmen maintains the 3rd position in Lebanese WLBL. Homentmen has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 9-1. Nasr turned to be Homentmen's top player in her first season with the team. Perla Nasr has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (6th best: 16.1ppg) and averages impressive 2.4spg and 57.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young international center Chirine El Charif (184-C-1984) of league's second-best Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut. El Charif had a very good evening with a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds. Of course she led Al Riyadi to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Chiyah (#8, 2-9) 105-44. Al Riyadi's second position in the standings has not changed. Her team belongs to top of the standings with 9-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. El Charif is a newcomer at Al Riyadi and despite she is not a team leader yet, every game she becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was Mathilda Khalil of Almtayleb (#7). Khalil got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. She went also for seven rebounds and five assists. She was a key player of Almtayleb, leading her team to a 77-76 win against slightly higher-ranked Hoops (#6, 5-6). The chances of Almtayleb ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Khalil could help Almtayleb to bring them higher in the standings. Khalil has a great season in Lebanon. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.9ppg (best scorer) and assists with 3.5apg (8th best).
