Nasr's 28 points give her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Power forward Perla Nasr (PF) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Homentmen Antelias and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
She had the game-high 28 points adding five rebounds and two assists for Homentmen A. in her team's victory, helping them to crush Hoops (#6, 5-6) with 16-point margin 64-48. Homentmen maintains the 3rd position in Lebanese WLBL. They are still close to the very top. Homentmen would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-1 record. In the team's last game Nasr had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. She turned to be Homentmen's top player in her first season with the team. Nasr has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (6th best: 16.0ppg) and averages solid 2.1spg and 58.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Stephany Haddad of Antranik Beirut. She is a in her first season at Antranik B.. In the last game Haddad recorded an impressive double-double of 14 points and 18 rebounds. Of course she led Antranik to another comfortable win 74-60 over slightly lower-ranked Almtayleb (#7, 4-6) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Antranik to move up to 5th position in the standings. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 5-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Haddad is a newcomer at Antranik and despite she is not a team leader yet, every game she becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Nancy Maalouf (174-F-1988) of Champs Club (#4). Maalouf showcased her all-around game by recording 21 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Champs, leading her team to a 46-41 win against the lower-ranked Chiyah (#8, 2-8). Maalouf has a great season in Lebanon. After only 7 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 13.6ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 11.0rpg (2nd best).
