The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Club Beirut as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Club Beirut smashed 4th ranked Hoops at home 84-62. Club Beirut outrebounded Hoops 45-29 including 34 on the defensive glass. Club Beirut looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Hoops' players. Jocelyne Geara scored 20 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Aida Bakhos (178-1986, college: Lamar) chipped in 7 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Maryam Jomaa with 24 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Club Beirut (8-0) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Hoops at the other side keep the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Antranik. Hoops will play next round against NSA trying to get back on the winning streak. Club Beirut will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Al Riyadi. It will be extra interesting game as Al Riyadi is their local rival from Beirut.
Bottom-ranked NSA (0-7) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to seventh ranked Antranik (4-4) 63-45. Racha Kalot notched 24 points to lead the effort and Stephany Haddad supported her with 6 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Even 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists by Jana Ghossain did not help to save the game for NSA. Antranik moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Hoops. Newly promoted NSA still closes the standings with seven games lost. Antranik will play against higher ranked Homentmen (#3) in Antelias in the next round and it may be the game of the week. NSA will play on the road against Hoops (#5) in Beirut and hopes to get finally their first victory.
In the last two games of round 6 Taadod lost to Almtayleb on the opponent's court 53-68. Homentmen managed to outperform Chiyah in a home game 61-47.
