Lebanese LBL round 11 best performance: Amir Saoud

Former international Guard Amir Saoud (186-G-91) had an amazing evening in the last round for Al Riyadi, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 30-year old player was the main contributor (44 points, nine rebounds and eight assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass Atlas (#8, 2-7) with 62-point margin 115-53. Al Riyadi is placed at 4th position in Lebanese LBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Al Riyadi will need more victories to improve their 6-2 record. In the team's last game Saoud had a remarkable eight three-pointers out of 16 attempts. He has many years of experience at Al Riyadi, through which he has constantly improved. Amir Saoud has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 14.0ppg. Saoud is in league's top in and averages impressive 69.2% FGP and 53.8% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was another Al Riyadi's star - 23-year old international swingman Mark Alkhoury (196-F/G-98). Alkhoury had a very good evening with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Of course together with Saoud he helped Al Riyadi with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Atlas (#8, 2-7) 115-53. This victory allowed Al Riyadi to move up to 4th position in the standings. His team's 6-2 record is not bad at all. Alkhoury is well-known at Al Riyadi and together with Amir Saoud are proven team's leaders.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Al Riyadi's star - former international forward Joseph Aby Khers (204-F-92). Aby Khers scored 9 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was another key player of Al Riyadi, helping his team with a 115-53 easy win against the lower-ranked Atlas (#8, 2-7). Al Riyadi needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 2 lost games. Aby Khers has a very solid season. In 8 games in Lebanon he scored 3.5ppg.
