Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut (LBL) landed 32-year old Virgin Islander international point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) for 3 years contract!! Hodge played most recently at Homentmen. In 23 LBL games in Lebanon he averaged impressive 22.0ppg, 3.4rpg, 7.0apg and 1.4spg last season. He helped them to make it to the Supercup final and to the Cup final. It was a very successful season in his career as he was awarded Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Guard of the Year, Import of the Year and selected to 1st Team.
The previous (2018) summer Hodge was tested by Capitanes (BSN) in Puerto Rican league. He contributed to his team winning the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. He can count that season as a very successful as was awarded Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican BSN Finals MVP, selected to 2nd Team and League Player of the Week.
Among other achievements Hodge received Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Player of the Year award in 2018.
He has a double citizenship as he also holds U.S. Virgin Islands passport.
He played at the Arab Club Championships Semifinals last year.
Hodge is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Hodge has played previously professionally in Dominican Rep., France (ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne Basket), Italy, Poland (Stelmet Enea BC), Russia (Zenit) and Spain (Baskonia).
He attended University of Florida until 2009 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.

Newly promoted Anibal Zahle (LBL) landed 22-year old American forward Bruce Stevens (203-114kg-96). He just graduated from Ole Miss (NCAA).
As mentioned above Stevens is just out of the college and it will be his first season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements he won NJCAA D1 District XV championship title in 2017. Stevens received also NJCAA D1 All-American 1st Team award in 2018 at his college time

In 18 LBL games he averaged 3.3ppg, 2.4rpg and 2.4apg last season. Khalil helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. RAMON GALLOWAY Newly promoted Anibal Zahle (LBL) added to their roster 28-year old American shooting guard Ramon Galloway (190-82kg-91, college: La Salle). He played this summer at Mantarrayas de La Paz in Mexican league. In 15 LNBP games he recorded 14.7ppg, 3.7rpg, 2.3apg and 1.5spg.
