Flint Monarchs add Brown for the 2019 Liga Mediterranean Cup - May 2, 2019

Flint Lady Monarchs (GWBA) strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old American center Shareta Brown (187-F/C-93, college: Wayne St., MI). She played most recently at Sporting Club Chabibeh in Lebanon. In 15 games she averaged an impressive 26.9 points per game along with a league best 16.2 rebounds per game.

Brown also stared for Alvik Basket in Swedish Damligan. In 16 games she was third best scorer with impressive 18.9ppg and had 10.9rpg (#2 in the league), 2.1apg and 2.0spg in 2015-16 season. Brown helped them to make it to the semifinals. Great season indeed as she was voted to Eurobasket.com Swedish Damligan All-Imports Team and 2nd Team.

Among other achievements she played in the final of Horizon League Tournament in 2012. Brown received also WBCA All-NCAA D2 Player of the Year award and WBCA All-American 1st Team honors in 2015 at her college time. Brown averaged a NCAA best 14.3 rebounds per game along with a 22.3 point per game average.

Brown attended Wayne State University, MI until 2015 and it will be her third season in pro basketball.

The 2019 Liga Mediterranean Cup will take place in Toulouse, France May 30- June 3.

Aida Bakhos (ex Al Riyadi) joins B.Loewen for 2019 Liga Mediterranean Cup - 2 months ago
SG Bergishe Loewen (Germany) strengthened their roster for the summer with the addition of 32-year old Lebanese guard Aida Bakhos (178-86, college: Lamar). She started the season at Al Riyadi in Lebanese WLBL. She helped them to win the League title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. They also played in the Supercup final. Al Riyadi Club are the WLBL Champions 2019 as they won the Final series against Homentmen 3-1. Trailing 0-1 after the opening game, Al Riyadi Club posted three consecutive wins to lift up the trophy. Riyadi just defeated Homenetmen Antelias 56-55 in game 3. Tonight they posted the decisive 60-54 victory.
