JASMON YOUNGBLOOD

Al Wakrah (D1) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 34-year old Lebanese ex-international shooting guard Jasmon Youngblood (195-84, college: Kent State). He started the season at Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabian SBL league. The last summer Youngblood played at Mid-American in U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament.
Among other achievements his team won Lebanese Cup in 2012 and 2016.
Youngblood also represented Lebanon at the Asian Championships in Changsha-Hunan (China) four years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: 17.4ppg, 4.4rpg, 3.1apg, 1.5spg, FGP: 54.9%, 3PT: 30.0%, FT: 53.2%.
Thanks to Youngblood's pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Youngblood has played previously professionally in Austria (Gunners Oberwart, Furstenfeld Panthers and Kapfenberg Bulls), Poland (Swiecie) and Lebanon (Sagesse, Anibal, Champville and Byblos).
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Al Wakrah.
Youngblood attended Kent State until 2006 and it is his 13th (hopefully lucky) (!!!) season in pro basketball.
The scouts decsribe him following way: Is a versatile player that can play at either of the wing positions, or can play at the four in Kent State's system ... Is a complete all-around player and a proven winner, having played in back-to-back junior college national championships ... Has the ability to create his own shot, rebound and finish.

Beirut Club looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American guard Chris Crawford (193-92, college: Memphis) had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds, 12 assists and 5 steals to lead the c...   [read more]

Al Moutahed Tripoli (LBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 28-year old American guard Isaiah Sykes (198-98kg-91, college: Cent.Florida). He started the season at Al Shurtah in Iraqi IBL league. The last season Sykes played at Al Kahraba (Superleague) in Iraqi league. Great season indeed as he was awarded Asia-Basket   [read more]

Aaron Nelson
Nelson's double-double lands him Interperformances Player of the Week award - 1 day ago
AARON NELSON 27-year old forward Aaron Nelson (205-F-91) put on an amazing game in the last round for Byblos and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 17. He had a double-double of 27 points and 19 rebounds, while his team beat Moutahed (#8, 4-10) 84-76. Byblos is placed at 5th position in Lebanese league. Byblos is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-9 record. In the team's last game Nelson...   [read more]
