Experienced Former international Forward Fadi El Khatib (198-F-79) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Champville and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 13. The 39-year old forward had the game-high 33 points adding seven rebounds and three assists for Champville in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Byblos (#6, 4-8) 83-79. It allowed Champville to jump to the first place in the Lebanese LBL. Champville have a solid 10-2 record. In the team's last game El Khatib had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. It's his second year at Champville and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Fadi El Khatib averages this season 19.6ppg, 7.2rpg and 5.2apg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 34-year old Nigerian guard Michael Efevberha (193-G-84, agency: Octagon Europe) of second-ranked Homentmen. Efevberha impressed basketball fans with 28 points and 3 rebounds. Of course he led Homentmen to another comfortable win 87-71 over the lower-ranked Hoops (#5, 4-7) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Homentmen to move up to second position in the standings. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 9 matches. Efevberha is a newcomer at Homentmen and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.
The third best performed player last round was American Charles Tabet (205-C/F-87) of Beirut Club (#4). Tabet scored 13 points and grabbed eighteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Beirut Club, leading his team to a 80-75 win against #3 ranked Al Riyadi in a game of the week. Beirut Club needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 4 lost games. Tabet has a very solid season. In 10 games in Lebanon he scored 3.5ppg. He also has 5.3rpg and FGP: 68.2%. Charles Tabet has also Lebanese passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

Great season indeed as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese CBA Honorable Mention. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Iranian Superleague Player of the Year back in 2014. Haddadi has been also a member of Iranian international program for some years. He has regularly played for Iranian senior team since 2004 and previously for U20 National Team in 2004. Haddadi represented Iran at the Asian Games in Indonesia last year. He is quite experienced player. Haddadi has played also professionally in NBA (Phoenix Suns), NBA G League (Santa Cruz Warriors) and Iran (Paykan, Saba, Petrochimi, Mahram and Melli Haffari Ahvaz). The scouts decsribe him following way:
An inside player with great instinct for the rebound and two very strong hands. He's very coordinated, knows ho to do with the ball and loves to work in practice. Can score from inside and can hit a shot from mid-range, needs to improve his defense and his toughnees, at present he seems a little too soft fro the NBA battles in the paint. Also, he is smaller than the 7-2 he is listed at..

Mighty Sports-Philippines wrapped up its 30th Dubai International Basketball Championship campaign with a 91-76 rout of Homenetmen Lebanon to clinch a bronze on Saturday, February 9. Former Ginebra guard Jett Manuel was exposed to an extended amount of playing time and led the Philippine side with 19 points in the easy win. Imports Justin Brownlee (197-F-88, college: St.John's) and Roosevelt Adams chipped in 10 markers apiece while former Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom (208-F-79, college: Rhode Island) had a tournament-best 8 points in 20 minutes off the bench. With Mighty already eliminated from title contention, head coach Charles Tiu gave locals like Manuel, Justin Gutang (191-G) and Santi Santillan extra time to shine in the battle for 3rd and they all repaid the favor in kind. As the weary imports took a backseat, the local cavalry ran circles around the Lebanon defense, leading by as many as 22 points off a Juan Gomez de Liano layup at the 6:14 mark of the 4th quarter. The Lebanese side fell apart from that point and didn't get closer than 15 points, 74-89, after a Varak Koshayan triple in the final minute of regulation. Jerar Hadidan led Homenetmen with 23 points and 8 rebounds while Elias Rustom (197-G/F-87) tallied 20 markers and 8 boards. Courtesy of: rappler.com
