ALLAN RAY

Boca Juniors (La Liga) agreed terms with experienced 34-year old American guard Allan Ray (188-90kg-84, college: Villanova). He played last season at Byblos Sporting Club in Lebanese LBL league. In 12 games he had very impressive stats: 17.4ppg, 3.0rpg and 3.1apg.
Ray ended the previous (2016-17) season at TED Kolejliler (BSL) in Turkish league. But the most of that year he spent at GSA Udine (Serie A) in league where in 20 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 18.9ppg, 3.7rpg and 2.3apg. Quite impressive season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A2 Honorable Mention.
In 2006 Ray was drafted by Yakama Sun Kings (CBA) in third round (31st overall).
He attended Villanova University and it is his 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Ray played in the final of Adriatic League in 2014. He was also voted Eurobasket.com Italian SerieA All-Imports Team back in 2015.
Ray is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Croatia (Cedevita), France (Pau Lacq Orthez), Germany (ratiopharm Ulm), Slovenia (Krka), NBA (Boston Celtics) and Italy (Virtus Roma and Sutor Montegranaro).
Ray is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Boca Jrs.
On Ray: An explosive scoring guard ... Tremendous leaper ... Finds the open man ... Beats foes off the dribble or with a jumper ... Range beyond the 3-point arc ... Conscientious defender.
