WALTER HODGE

32-year old point guard Walter Hodge (183-PG-86) had an amazing evening in the last round for Homentmen and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 11.
He got a double-double of 29 points and 10 assists, while his team beat Byblos (#5, 4-6) 103-95. Homentmen maintains the 3rd position in Lebanese league. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Homentmen will need more victories to improve their 7-2 record. In the team's last game Hodge had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Homentmen's top player in his first season with the team. University of Florida graduate has very impressive stats this year. Hodge is in league's top in points (9th best: 18.9ppg), assists (3rd best: 6.5apg) and averages solid 55.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Aaron Nelson (205-F-91) of Byblos. He is American forward in his first season at Byblos. In the last game Nelson recorded impressive double-double of 26 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Byblos lost that game 95-103 to slightly higher-ranked Homentmen (#3, 7-2). Byblos managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-6 record. Nelson is a newcomer at Byblos and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.9ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 9.4rpg and 3.1apg.

Third place about best performers goes to Keanau Post (211-C/F-92) of Sagesse (#9). Post scored 16 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Post's great performance Sagesse lost 66-99 to the higher-ranked Champville (#2, 8-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Sagesse can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-8 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Post he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Post has individually a great season in Lebanon. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.1rpg (4th best). He also has 2.0bpg and FGP: 50.4%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Amir Saoud (186-G-91) of Al Riyadi - 20 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists
5. Dewayne Jackson (203-F-90) of Champville - 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Michael Efevberha (193-G-84) of Homentmen - 27 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Demarius Bolds (193-G-84) of Champville - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Hayk Gyokchyan (203-F-90) of Al Riyadi - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Daniel Faris (206-C/F-87) of Champville - 15 points and 8 rebounds
10. Fadi El Khatib (198-F-79) of Champville - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
