Quincy Douby
QUINCY DOUBY

Beirut Club (LBL) inked experienced 34-year old American guard Quincy Douby (190-93kg-84, college: Rutgers). He played in the summer at Luoyang Zhonghe in Chinese NBL league. In 17 games he was fourth best scorer with impressive 37.6ppg and recorded 5.1rpg and 4.9apg. A very good season in his career as he was selected to Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese NBL Honorable Mention. The last season Douby played at Al Riyadi where in 14 LBL games he averaged remarkable 21.2ppg, 1.9rpg, 3.6apg (top 5) and 1.7spg (in top 5).
In 2013 (seven years after he left the college) Sioux Falls Skyforce selected him as third overall pick in D-League draft.
He attended Rutgers, The State University until 2006 and it is his 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements Douby's team won FIBA Asia Champions Cup in 2017. He received also Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TB2L Guard of the Year award back in 2014.
Douby played at the WABA Club Championships last year.
He is a very experienced player. Douby has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Douby has played previously professionally in Jordan (ASU), Spain (UCAM Murcia), NBA (Toronto Raptors), Turkey (Darussafaka and Afyon Bld) and NBA G League (Erie Bay Hawks and Westchester Knicks).
He is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Beirut Club.
Douby's game is described as: (by Aran Smith for NBADraft.net in 2006)
Has a great feel for the offensive game ... Effortless release on his shot ... Excellent free throw shooter ... His game has shown steady improvement ... Has gotten stronger body wise but still lacks bulk and body strength ...
Not a true point guard, so he is a small 2 guard ... He'll be a defensive liability on the next level due to his size and strength ..

LBL Round 18: Homentmen is defeated by Beirut Club in a derby game - 6 hours ago
Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Beirut: Beirut Club (#4) and Homentmen (#3). Beirut Club (11-4) won against visiting Homentmen (11-4) 86-81. Beirut Club looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American guard Chris Crawford (193-92, college: Memphis) had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds, 12 assists and 5 steals to lead the c...   [read more]

Isaiah Sykes
Isaiah Sykes (ex Al Shurtah) is a newcomer at Moutahed - 1 day ago
Al Moutahed Tripoli (LBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 28-year old American guard Isaiah Sykes (198-98kg-91, college: Cent.Florida). He started the season at Al Shurtah in Iraqi IBL league. The last season Sykes played at Al Kahraba (Superleague) in Iraqi league. Great season indeed as he was awarded Asia-Basket   [read more]

Aaron Nelson
Nelson's double-double lands him Interperformances Player of the Week award - 1 day ago
AARON NELSON 27-year old forward Aaron Nelson (205-F-91) put on an amazing game in the last round for Byblos and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 17. He had a double-double of 27 points and 19 rebounds, while his team beat Moutahed (#8, 4-10) 84-76. Byblos is placed at 5th position in Lebanese league. Byblos is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-9 record. In the team's last game Nelson...   [read more]
