27-year old forward Aaron Nelson (205-F-91) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Byblos and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 8.
He had the game-high 29 points adding seven rebounds and five assists for Byblos in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Moutahed (3-4) 86-84. Byblos is placed at 5th position in Lebanese league. Byblos is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-4 record. In the team's last game Nelson had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Byblos' top player in his first season with the team. University of Southern Indiana graduate has very impressive stats this year. Nelson is league's best scorer averaging so far 29.3ppg. Nelson is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 11.8rpg) and averages solid 2.3bpg and 57.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Travis Franklin (200-F-88) of Moutahed. He is American forward in his first season at Moutahed. In the last game Franklin recorded impressive 23 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Moutahed was edged by slightly higher-ranked Byblos (3-4) 86-84. This loss caused Moutahed to drop to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-4 record. Franklin is a newcomer at Moutahed and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Moutahed's star - guard Marvelle Harris (196-PG-93, agency: Slash Sports). Harris showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, six rebounds and four assists in the last round. Despite Harris' great performance Moutahed lost 84-86 to Byblos (3-4). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. The chances of Moutahed ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 4 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Harris could help Moutahed to bring them higher in the standings. Harris has a great season in Lebanon. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.8ppg (2nd best). He also has 3.8spg and FGP: 52.9%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Walter Hodge (183-PG-86) of Homentmen - 18 points, 2 rebounds and 11 assists
5. Keanau Post (211-C/F-92) of Sagesse - 20 points and 12 rebounds
6. Chris Johnson (210-F/C-85) of Homentmen - 17 points and 11 rebounds
7. Willie Warren (193-PG-89) of Hoops - 28 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Ali Haidar (201-F-90) of Beirut Club - 20 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Michael Efevberha (193-G-84) of Homentmen - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Darian Townes (208-F/C-84) of Atlas F. - 10 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists
