Nigerian-American Guard Michael Efevberha (193-G-84, agency: Octagon Europe) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Homentmen, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 34-year old player was the main contributor (27 points, seven rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Champville (#4, 4-2) 76-68. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Homentmen is placed at 2nd position in Lebanese LBL. They are still close to the very top. Homentmen would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. In the team's last game Efevberha had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Homentmen's top player in his first season with the team. Former Cal State - Northridge star has very solid stats this year. Efevberha is in league's top in points (5th best: 24.3ppg) and averages impressive 65.6% FGP and 42.4% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old American Marvelle Harris (196-PG-93, agency: Slash Sports) of Moutahed. Harris had a very good evening with 29 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course Moutahed cruised to a 71-63 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Sagesse (#8, 1-4). Moutahed's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 3-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Harris is a newcomer at Moutahed, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.0ppg (#2). He also registered 4.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was South Sudanese center Ater Majok (208-C-87) of Champville (#4). Majok scored 12 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). Despite Majok's great performance Champville lost 68-76 to #2 ranked Homentmen. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Champville needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Majok has a great season in Lebanon. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.5rpg (8th best). He also has 4.7bpg and FGP: 68.9%. Ater Majok has also Lebanese passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jean Abdel Nour (198-G/F-83) of Al Riyadi - 13 points, 18 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Travis Franklin (200-F-88) of Moutahed - 13 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Keanau Post (211-C/F-92) of Sagesse - 16 points and 12 rebounds
7. Ali Haidar (201-F-90) of Beirut Club - 18 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Darian Townes (208-F/C-84) of Atlas F. - 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Amir Saoud (186-G-91) of Al Riyadi - 14 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Ali Mansour (98) of Hoops - 14 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
