Former international Forward Fadi El Khatib (198-F-79) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Champville, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 39-year old player recorded a triple-double of 11 points adding also 10 rebounds and 15 assists, while his team outclassed Sagesse (#6, 1-2) with 28-point margin 99-71. Champville is placed at 2nd position in Lebanese LBL. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Champville won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. It's El Khatib's second year at Champville and it's hard to imagine this team without him.

The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old American Marvelle Harris (196-PG-93, agency: Slash Sports) of Moutahed. Harris had a very good evening with 30 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Moutahed lost that game 75-84 to Beirut Club (2-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Harris is a newcomer at Moutahed, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#5).

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Aaron Nelson (205-F-91) of Byblos (#7). Nelson got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for nine rebounds . Despite Nelson's great performance Byblos lost 98-109 to Homentmen (#3, 2-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Byblos can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 2 games. Too bad for Nelson he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. The season just started for Nelson as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Ibrahima Thomas (213-F-87) of Hoops - 19 points and 15 rebounds
5. Dewayne Jackson (203-F-90) of Champville - 25 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Malcolm Riley (196-F-93) of Byblos - 32 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Ater Majok (208-C-87) of Champville - 20 points and 8 rebounds
8. Nadim Souaid (192-G/F-86) of Champville - 18 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Kyle Hunt (208-F/C-89) of Beirut Club - 20 points and 10 rebounds
10. Sabah Khoury (196-G-82) of Sagesse - 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
