ALI FARHAT

Point guard Ali Farhat (183-PG) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Atlas F. and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had the game-high 30 points adding seven assists for Atlas F. in his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team Beirut Club (#6, 0-1) with 19-point margin 97-78. Thanks to this victory Atlas F. moved-up to the 2nd position in Lebanese league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Atlas F. won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Farhat had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Atlas F.'s top player in his first season with the team. University of Michigan-Dearborn graduate has very impressive stats this year. Farhat is in league's top in points (3rd best: 30.0ppg), assists (3rd best: 7.0apg) and averages solid 4.0spg,80.0% FGP and 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Malcolm Riley (196-F-93) of Byblos. He is American forward in his first season at Byblos. In the last game Riley recorded impressive 34 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Byblos lost that game 74-94 to Al Riyadi (1-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Riley is a newcomer at Byblos and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 34.0ppg (#1). He also registered 7.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Bassel Bawji (203-F-89) of league's leader Al Riyadi. Bawji showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, ten rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Al Riyadi, leading his team to a 94-74 easy win against Byblos (#7, 0-1). Al Riyadi has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Bawji also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Bawji as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Dikembe Dixson (201-F-96) of Hoops - 32 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Amir Saoud (186-G-91) of Al Riyadi - 22 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists
6. Haakim Johnson (201-G/F-87) of Sagesse - 23 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Dmitri Thompson (193-G-96) of Atlas F. - 22 points and 3 rebounds
8. Ater Majok (208-C-87) of Champville - 15 points and 7 rebounds
9. Hassan Dandach (187-PG-91) of Moutahed - 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Dewayne Jackson (203-F-90) of Champville - 21 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
