GERON JOHNSON

Newly promoted Hoops Club (LBL) landed 26-year old former Lebanese international guard Geron Johnson (190-92kg-92, college: Memphis). He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport. Johnson played in the summer at Obregon in Mexican CIBACOPA. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 25 CIBACOPA games he averaged impressive 15.8ppg, 5.8rpg, 5.7apg (top 4) and 1.8spg (in top 4). Johnson helped them to make it to the final.
Part of last season he spent at Byblos Sporting Club where in three LBL games he had very remarkable stats: 23.0ppg, 7.7rpg, 5.0apg and 3.0spg. Johnson also spent pre-season at Sioux Falls Skyforce in U.S. NBA G League. In two games he recorded 7.0ppg, 1.5rpg, 1.0apg and 1.5spg.
Among other achievements Johnson's college team won C-USA Tournament in 2013. He received also Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League 2nd Team award in 2017.
Johnson represented Lebanon at the West Asia Basketball Championships in Amman (Jordan) two years ago.
He is a very experienced player. Johnson has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to four different countries on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Johnson has played previously professionally in Philippines (Columbian Dyip), NBA (Houston Rockets), NBA G League (Rio Grande Valley Vipers) and Lebanon (Louaize).
He attended University of Memphis until 2014 and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball.
