Chabibeh Sporting Club of the WLBL added national team star Aida Bakhos (178-G-86, college: Lamar) to their roster for the 2018 Liga Mediterranean Cup (France).

The 2018 Liga Mediterranean Cup was held in Toulouse Metropole Basket, France this summer. This European event showcased some of the best talent in the Mediterranean with two import teams allowed to join. Chabibeh head coach J.D. Barnes first order of business was signing the Lebanese legend.

"For me we needed a player like Aida", said Barnes. She has the ability to defend any player on the perimeter off of pick and rolls. Her professionalism and class also played a major role for me. I was very grateful that Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut allowed her to join us. I would say it paid off.

Coach Barnes judged correctly as Chabibeh claimed the 2018 Liga Mediterranean Cup championship. Bakhos was named Eurobasket.com All-Mediterranean Cup HM along with 1st Team All-Defensive honors. She would finish the event with an impressive average of 8 points, 7 rebounds and event best 2.6 steals. Bakhos standout game had to be versus local favorite Toulouse Metropole Basket. She sparked the early run of 8 points and 5 rebounds in the first period.
