After a great defensive performance in the first half by Hoops Club; Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut only scored 29 points. After the first half the Lebanese power club rallied to beat Hoops Club 71-62.

Roneeka Hodges (180-G-82, college: Florida St.) was again the story for Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut scoring 20 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists. Chirine El Charif (185-C-84) was a monster in the post. She finished the game with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks. Other import Shanece McKinney (193-F-92, college: LSU, agency: ProDep Management) continues her solid play with 17 points in the win.

Hoops Club continues to improve under coach Jad El Hajj. The Hoops Club club came out very focused on defense and stopping Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut's star guard Lama Moukaddem (174-G/F-90). Hoops Club star forward Tabatha Richardson-Smith (183-F, college: Seton Hall) finished with a game high 30 points and 11 rebounds. New import Tiasha Gray (170-G-94, college: Austin Peay St.) struggled to find her mark in the WLBL debut. She finished the game with just 13 points. Magalie Gemayel added 11 points in the losing effort.

Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut now moves to 7-2 and (5-1 in Europe).

Best Player. In the WLBL games she averaged league best 27.0ppg, 10.5rpg and 7.0apg. In 2017 King received Eurobasket.com All-LNA Import honors in Switzerland while averaging just over 20 points 8 rebounds and 4 assists. King was a member of USA Senior National Team between 2015 and 2016. She helped her American squad win a Bronze medal. MAJDA GHARIANI Sporting Club Chabibeh (WLBL) tabbed 32-year old Morocco-Moroccan guard Majda Ghariani (178-87). She moved there from played at Chabab in Moroccan D1 league where she played this season. The last season Ghariani played at Charnay (NF1) in French league.
