Patrick Saba Named WLBL Coach of the Month - Dec 3, 2017

BEIRUT - Today, the WLBL announced that Homentmen Antelias head coach Patrick Saba was named WLBL Coach of the Month for games played in October and November. It is his first Coach of the Month award with Homentmen Antelias and the seventh of his career. He his the first coach selected this season for Eurobasket.com.

Homentmen Antelias are 5-0 entering December (Stage 2) and own the highest winning percentage (1.000) in the WLBL. That is the best record through the first 5 games of a season.

Homentmen Antelias own the league's best point differential at +20.8 points per game. Homentmen Antelias outscored opponents by 20.8 ppg in November (rounded up from 16.769), marking the highest point differential in November since the Riyadi outscored opponents by 16.833 ppg in 2016.

Homentmen Antelias are led by super star import April Sykes (182-G/F-90, college: Rutgers) who is averaging a club best 25.9 points per game. She led Homentmen Antelias over league favorite Riyadi the last game of stage 1. National Team legends Rebecca Akl (169-PG-92) has continued her dominate play to help her club to 5-0.

Homentmen Antelias rank first in points allowed this season (opponents: 40.1 ppg) after finishing 3rd in 2016-17 (opponents: 55.6 ppg). Homenetmen Antelias - Riyadi 67-52 Homenetmen Antelias have won the Super Cup in Lebanon. The team defeated their opponents Riyadi 67-52. Homenetmen Antelias dominated the majority of the game and rightfully clinched the trophy. Yaktavia Hickson agreed terms with Chabibeh - 11 days ago
Sporting Club Chabibeh (WLBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 23-year old American guard Yaktavia Hickson (180-95, college: Tenn Tech). She played in the summer at Atlanta Monarchs (WBCBL) in the U.S. The last season she played at Tennessee Tech University in the NCAA where in 29 games she recorded 17.7ppg, 4.5rpg, 1.3apg and 1.2spg. Chabibeh keeps Beddawi for another season - 11 days ago
Sporting Club Chabibeh (WLBL) re-signed 26-year old point guard Sandra Beddawi (168-92). She played there last season. Beddawi's team won Liga Catalonia Cup in Spain in 2018. This summer Beddawi helped the Chabibeh Sporting Club win the 2019 Liga Mediterranean Cup in Toulouse, France. In was the first FIBA Championship won by a Lebanese Club on the womens side.
