One injury changed Game between the WLBL power Homentmen Antelias and Sporting Club Chabibeh Sunday night.

Homentmen Antelias were down 10 points in the second half before Sporting Club Chabibeh star Kristina King (180-PG-92, college: Richmond) injured her knee. The result was an immediate turnaround and a 72-62 win for Homentmen Antelias.

Rebecca Akl (169-PG-92) and April Sykes (182-G/F-90, college: Rutgers) helped fuel the run with 40 of their 72 combined points in the second half.

However, King's injury remains the big story. She was outstanding at the start of this one with 13 points 10 assists and 10 rebounds in 24 minutes of action. Unfortunately, she was forced to leave in the fourth quarter with what the team announced as unknown.

"I don't know what to say", said coach Barnes. Homentmen Antelias didn't do anything wrong. They played hard. Injuries happen. Lets just pray she will be ok.

Sporting Club Chabibeh remained in full control at the start of the fourth until King was forced from the game following two separate incidents of twisting her knee. It was 58-50 when she exited, but an 18-0 run immediately followed as Homentmen Antelias got back into the game. Chabibeh had no answer for Homentman after King left the game. The locals gave no support to Shareta Brown as the team fell to a 18-4 run.

Akl's shooting played a big role in the comeback:

Homentmen Antelias grabbed the lead with about four minutes left and then hit key shots down the stretch to stay in front.

Although Sporting Club Chabibeh had a chance to tie the game down three on the final possession, the team was unable to pull even.

Rebecca Akl led Homentmen Antelias with 25 points and 4 rebounds. Import player April Sykes added 14 points and 8 rebounds. Shareta Brown (185-C-93, college: Wayne St., MI) dominated all post with 33 points and a league high 25 rebounds. Kristina King recorded the WLBLs 2nd triple-double before her injury with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
