McCoughtry
Homentmen Antelias (Division I) strengthened their roster with addition of 31-year old American international small forward Angel McCoughtry (187-73kg-86, college: Louisville). She moved there from Dynamo Kursk in Russian PBL league where she played the last season. McCoughtry managed to play in four leagues in four countries this year (!!!). In 24 PBL games she was third best scorer with 12.3ppg and had 4.0rpg, 3.0apg and 2.5spg (in top 4). The last season she played at Mersin BSB in Turkish KBSL. In 29 games she recorded very impressive stats: 24.7ppg, 7.3rpg, 3.4apg and 2.4spg. McCoughtry helped them to make it to the semifinals. Great season indeed as she was selected Eurobasket.com All-Turkish KBSL Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Eurobasket.com All-Turkish KBSL Defensive Player of the Year.
In 2009 she was drafted by Atlanta Dream (WNBA) as #1 pick overall.
McCoughtry attended University of Louisville and it is her eighth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she received Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TKBL Player of the Year award back in 2012 and 2014.
McCoughtry also represented USA at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) last year. Her team won Gold but her stats at that event were not that remarkable as she did not score anything.
McCoughtry has played also professionally in Hungary (UNIQA Sopron), Slovakia (Good Angels) and Turkey (Fenerbahce).
