Marinos de Anzoategui (LPB) added to their roster 26-year old American point guard Dion Dixon (190-89, college: Cincinnati). He just played at Homenetmen Beirut in Lebanese Division A. Dixon managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In 10 Division A games he recorded very impressive stats: 27.8ppg, 4.9rpg, 7.3apg and 2.2spg this season. He also played at MZT Skopje (Prva Liga) in FYR Macedonian league that season. In 9 Division A games he averaged 11.0ppg, 2.2rpg, 2.3apg and 1.0spg. Dixon also played 17 games in Adriatic League where he averaged 8.6ppg, 2.2rpg and 1.5apg. The last season he was tested by Idaho Stampede in D-League.
The previous (12-13) season Dixon played at Petrolina AEK Larnaca (Division A) in Cypriot league. In 26 games he averaged 11.4ppg, 3.5rpg and 2.6apg in 2012-13 season. He helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. A very spectacular season in his career as he was selected Eurobasket.com All-Cyprus League Rookie of the Year and voted to Honorable Mention.
Two years ago (a year after he left the college) Dixon was drafted by Idaho Stampede (D-League) in fifth round (72nd overall).
He attended University of Cincinnati until 2012 and it will be his third season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Dixon was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Player of the Year in 2014.
