Al Riyadi celebrated First Division title. They overcame Sagesse in the fifth game of the championship series to lift the trophy. The game was mostly controlled by Al Riyadi. Sagesse managed to win fourth quarter 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Al Riyadi had a 33-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The former international forward Hayk Gyokchyan (203-1990, college: F&M) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and U.S. Virgin Islands-American forward Marcus Georges-Hunt (196-1994, college: Georgia Tech, agency: JCK Sports Group) chipped in 20 points. Four Al Riyadi players scored in double figures. Guinean-French Sekou Doumbouya (206-2000) responded with 9 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international guard Omar Jamaleddine (193-2000, college: SLC) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Zach Lofton, 32-year old American guard from the finalist team Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut, picked up the Player of the Year at the Lebanese Basketball League. He graduated from the NM State seven years ago. Lofton received multiple other awards, was named the Defensive Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year, Guard of the Year, and was voted to the First Team, Imports Team and Defensive Team. His best performance made his team reach the finals but they unfortunately were defeated by the Al Riyadi 1 to 4. Lofton was the Player of the Week honoree in the league. His court vision was unparalleled as he secured the fourth spot in points per game, delivering an average of over 26. Lofton also averaged 7 assists per game in the league. He has totalled 19 games of 20 or more points on the year and recorded 30 or more points in 12 games. Lofton registered double-doubles in 8 games during the event. His 51 points against Beirut Club were the most he scored in the 2025 season. As you can see the league is dominated by ex-college players where all 10 best scorers graduated U.S. schools. The standout Australian center Thon Maker was voted the Finals MVP of the championship-winning champion team Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut. He collected multiple other honors, was selected as the Center of the Year, and was chosen to the First Team, Imports Team and Defensive Team. With Maker's excellent performance, the champion team Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut achieved the best record of the season in the league, finishing with an impressive 21 to 1 in the regular season. Maker's excellent performance assisted his team in beating the Sagesse 4 to 1 in the final series. He had over 16 points and almost 10 rebounds per game that season in the league. Maker has totalled 8 games of 20 or more points and recorded double-doubles in 15 games on the year. His 30 points against the Homentmen were the most he scored in the 2025 season. Tyler Bey, 27-year old American forward from the Homentmen Beirut, was honored as the Forward of the Year of Lebanese Basketball League. He Is the Colorado alumni from 2020. Bey received multiple other awards, was named to the First Team and Imports Team and Defensive Team. He received Player of the Week award three times during the 25 campaign. Bey's consistent performance as a playmaker earned him the third ranked in rebounds per game, showcasing average of over 13. He also logged almost 20 points per game over the season in the league. Bey has totalled 7 games of 20 or more points and registered double-doubles in 11 games on the year. His 46 points against the Hoops were the most he scored in the 2025 season. Jordan Stevens, 31-year old American point guard from the Homentmen Beirut, earned a spot in the First Team at the Lebanese Basketball League. He Is ex the Midwestern State from 2016. Stevens collected multiple other honors, was voted to the Imports Team and Defensive Team. He showcased his talent by ranking second in points per game with an average of over 26 and third in assists per game with an average of almost 9. Stevens has totalled 20 games of 20 or more points on the year and notched 30 or more points in 6 games. He recorded double-doubles in 12 games at the event. Stevens' 59 points against Beirut Club were the most he scored in the 2025 season. All of the top 10 highest scorers in the league are alumni of US colleges. Among many awards he was selected as the Latinbasket All-Mexican CIBACOPA Player of the Year as well as the All-Mexican CIBACOPA Defensive Player of the Year and the All-Mexican CIBACOPA Import Player of the Year and the All-Mexican CIBACOPA First Team back in 2022. He was also best scorer in the league last season while he had played for the Al Ahli when he scored almost 34 points per game. Michael Watkins, American forward from the Antonine, was selected to the First Team of Lebanese Basketball League. He Is alumni of the Penn State from 2020. Watkins received multiple other awards, was chosen to the Imports Team and Defensive Team. He averaged almost 19 points per game in the league. Watkins led the LBL in rebounds per game with 15. He has totalled 8 games of 20 or more points on the year and registered 30 or more points in 2 games. Watkins had double-doubles in 14 games at the event. His 39 points against the Hoops were the most he scored in the 2025 season. Among many awards Watkins' team won the Dominican Republic LNB Regular Season in 2021. He was also selected as the Latinbasket All-Venezuelan SPB Defensive Player of the Year in 2024. Watkins was selected to the Latinbasket All-Venezuelan SPB First Team in 2024. He was also selected to the Latinbasket All-Dominican Republic LNB Second Team as well as the All-Star Game back in 2021.
