Dewarick
Spencer
Champville (Pepsi LBL) signed experienced 35-year old American guard Dewarick Spencer (192-82, college: Arkansas State, agency: Higher Vision Sports). He already started the season at Goyang Orions in South Korean KBL league. In 15 games he had very impressive stats: 15.6ppg, 2.7rpg, 3.0apg and 1.3spg this season.
The most of last season Spencer spent at Al Moutahed where in 31 Pepsi LBL games he recorded also remarkable stats: 21.5ppg, 6.1rpg, 4.3apg and 1.3spg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Quite impressive season as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League 2nd Team and League Player of the Week. Spencer also spent pre-season at Al Riyadi earlier that year. A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League 2nd Team and League Player of the Week.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the FIBA Asia Champions Cup final in 2016. Spencer was also voted Asia-Basket.com All-WABA League Player of the Year back in 2012.
He played at the WABA Club Championships five years ago.
Spencer is quite experienced player. He has played in ten different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Spencer has played previously professionally also in China (Golden Bulls and Jilin Tigers), France (Le Mans), Greece, Iran (Petrochimi), Italy (Virtus Bologna), Turkey (Anadolu Efes), Ukraine (Budivelnyk), Venezuela (Guaros) and Lebanon (Sagesse).
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Champville.
Spencer attended Arkansas State until 2005 and it is his 13th (hopefully lucky) (!!!) season as a professional player.
He could be described: Dewarick Spencer is a tremedous three point shooter one of the best in NCAA D-1 during his college career. Spencer is a good defender and fairly athletic with the ability to play both the 1 and 2 positions equally as well. Showed great skills in French league, winning every single individual accolade one can imagine. Puts a great intensity on defense and has the ability to play above the rim to go along with his good shooting mark.
